Articles
Article I: Name
The name of this organization is the Eastern North Carolina Shag Club, also called ENCSC.
Article II: Purpose
ENCSC is a non-profit club formed to enjoy, uphold and perpetuate the traditions of rhythm and blues, beach and shag music, and shag dancing.
Article III: Membership
Dancers of all ages may apply. Members pay annual dues of $20 and submit the ENCSC membership application, mailed to ENCSC, PO Box 44, Greenville, NC 27835.
Article IV: Meetings
Business meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm. Weekly dance nights are held on Tuesdays at the club's home base.
Article V: Officers and Committees
Officers are chosen from the members to lead the club. Committees are available for members to take part in events.
Article VI: Events
The club sponsors a New Year's Eve party, a Valentine party, a Re-Up party, a Fall Fling party, a Christmas party, and joint SOS parties with other shag clubs at North Myrtle Beach when possible.
Article VII: Community Giving
ENCSC contributes to the TEDI BEAR foundation in Pitt County each year, with a minimum of $1,000 and numerous teddy bears.
Article VIII: Association
The club is a member of the Association of Carolina Shag Clubs.
